About 1 on 1 Teacher

Verified one-on-one teachers for every class, board and budget. Parents post what they need, and the right tutor reaches out.

What we do

1 on 1 Teacher connects families with one-on-one teachers. A parent describes what their child needs — the class, the board, the subject, the budget — and teachers who can genuinely help reach out.

The idea is to reverse the usual search. Instead of a parent trawling through listings and cold-calling strangers, the teachers who are actually available and actually teach that syllabus come to them.

How a match happens

There are three steps, and a parent pays nothing for the first two.

  • A parent posts a requirement, or searches the directory directly.
  • Teachers who cover that class, board and subject send their interest.
  • The parent picks whoever fits, reveals the number, and arranges lessons directly.

Who the teachers are

Teachers create their own profile — subjects, classes, boards, languages, experience and hourly rate — and can add a sample lesson video so a parent can see how they teach before making contact.

Listings are reviewed before they go live, and a teacher can be delisted at any time. We check that a profile is complete and plausible; we are not an employer and we do not supervise lessons.

What we are not

We are an introduction platform, not a tuition agency. Lessons, schedules and fees are agreed directly between a parent and a teacher, and the teaching relationship is between them.

We do not take a commission on lesson fees. Our charge is for revealing contact details, which is what keeps the directory itself free to browse — plus a small platform fee if you choose to route the lesson fee through our secure payment option.

Where we operate

We serve families across India, covering CBSE, ICSE, State Board, IB and IGCSE syllabuses from Class 1 through to competitive exams, undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Every session runs online, in Malayalam, English, Tamil or Hindi, at a time you and the teacher agree between you.
